Shipping Policy

At The Hair, we want your order to reach you as quickly and safely as possible. Our shipping policy is designed to be transparent, fair, and convenient — so you always know what to expect after placing your order.

1. Where We Ship

We currently ship across all serviceable pin codes in India through our trusted delivery partners including Delhivery, Shiprocket, Bluedart, and India Post.

2. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 24–48 business hours (Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays).

  • Orders placed before 2:00 PM IST are usually processed the same day
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM IST or on weekends are processed the next business day
  • During sales, festivals, or peak seasons, processing may take an additional 1–2 business days

You will receive an email and SMS notification with tracking details once your order is shipped.

3. Delivery Timeline

Delivery time depends on your location and pin code:

  • Metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad) — 2 to 4 business days
  • Non-metro cities and towns — 4 to 6 business days
  • Remote areas, North-East, and hill stations — 5 to 8 business days

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier availability, weather conditions, or regional disruptions.

4. Shipping Charges

We believe in keeping shipping simple and affordable:

  • Orders above ₹499 — Free shipping across India
  • Orders below ₹499 — Flat shipping fee of ₹49
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) — Additional ₹40 COD handling charge per order
  • Prepaid Orders — Get an extra 5% off as a thank-you for choosing prepaid

5. Cash on Delivery (COD)

We offer COD across most pin codes in India, subject to verification.

  • Maximum COD order value — ₹2,999
  • A confirmation call or OTP verification may be required for COD orders
  • If we are unable to verify your order within 24 hours, it may be cancelled automatically

6. Order Tracking

Once your order is shipped, you will receive:

  • An email with the courier name and tracking number
  • An SMS with a tracking link
  • A WhatsApp update (if you have opted in)

You can also track your order anytime by visiting our website and going to "Track My Order" or by logging into your The Hair account.

7. Multiple Shipments

If your order contains multiple items, they may be shipped separately depending on stock availability and warehouse location. You will receive a separate tracking number for each shipment, and there will be no additional shipping charge.

8. Delivery Attempts

Our courier partners will make up to 3 delivery attempts at the address provided.

  • Please ensure someone is available to receive the package
  • Keep your phone reachable — couriers may call before delivery
  • If all 3 attempts fail, the package will be returned to our warehouse
  • For prepaid orders returned undelivered, we will refund the order value after deducting applicable shipping charges
  • Repeated refusal of COD orders may result in COD being disabled for your account

9. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Please double-check your shipping address and phone number at checkout. The Hair is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by an incorrect or incomplete address. If you notice a mistake, contact us immediately at sales@thehair.in — we can update it only before the order is dispatched.

10. Delays Beyond Our Control

While we do everything we can to deliver on time, some delays are outside our control, including courier disruptions, weather events, strikes, public holidays, festive rush, and government restrictions. We appreciate your patience in such situations and will keep you updated.

11. Damaged Packages

If your package arrives visibly damaged or tampered with, please do not accept the delivery where possible. If you have already accepted it, record an unboxing video and contact us within 48 hours so we can resolve it quickly. Please see our Refund Policy for details.
